English Adjunct - Dual Credit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The instructor will teach assigned dual credit English courses via ITV.  The instructor may have the option of teaching from Columbia or Fayette or via Zoom.   Responsible for planning, grading & returning work in a timely manner.  This position is for the 2024 Spring Semester.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

85% planning, teaching, and grading for the assigned courses

10% communicating with high school counselors, facilitators and First Class at CMU

5% other duties as assigned

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

N/A

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Required:  master’s degree with at least 18 hours of graduate work in the discipline to be taught,

Teaching experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

N/A

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general office equipment, ability to use course management system
